Catch the charming energy of regular participants like Umagang Kay Ganda hosts Rica Peralejo and Donita Rose, who will be selling shoes and clothes in their shared stall.
Pinoy Big Brother’s first ever Big Winner Nene Tamayo, also a familiar face in the Festival, will once again be selling branded items, like bags and accessories on her booth with fellow PBB Winner Bea Saw of PBB Season 2. Tamayo is now on her fifth year stint as a holiday entrepreneur, as she’ been with World Bazaar for the past four years.
Former reality TV shows’ contestants will likewise join in the fun, including Cris Pastor of Pinoy Dream Academy, as well as Marion and Savannah of Pinoy Fear Factor.

With MAFBEX 2010 (Manila Food and Beverage Expo) having successfully gathered the important players of the food service and hospitality industry under one roof, it is accurate to say that both the exhibitors and the attendees came out of the five-day event better equipped with ideas to take on the challenges of cooking and the business that come with it.
During the event, equipment, both large and small-scale, were available for the public eye. These included the packaging machines from companies such as the Nissan Seiko Corporation, the large-scale baking machines from Sinmag Bakery Machine Corporation, and the pots, pans, knives, and other kitchen utensils offered to culinary experts, hobbyists, and for the cooks at home.
Also among the many exhibitors in the event was the Shanghai Oriental Import and Export that is part of the Shanghai Oriental Group of Companies, which specializes in importation and shopping mall operations.
With its wide array of products, the Shanghai Oriental showcased their water treatment parts, which are no doubt very important in any dining establishment, as well as its food packaging products, which are useful to create that unique look for any brand, and corporate giveaways for added service to customers.
Driven by the desire to address the needs of food aficionados, MAFBEX 2010 indeed succeeded in gathering the tools of the trade just to make the local food and beverage industry at par with the global market.

All feasts must come to an end but at the end of it all, the festivities have left all who have attended a little fuller, a little happier, and a lot more encouraged to take on the challenges of the future. This is especially true for the 4th Manila Foods and Beverages Expo which was organized by Worldbex Services International (WSI) in cooperation with the De La Salle College of Saint Benilde.
Recently held at the World Trade Center in Pasay City, the international show gathered all those involved in the hospitality and food service industry – the suppliers, distributors, manufacturers, and retailers of food and beverage products – as well as the food enthusiasts in the metro to meet under one roof, connect, and quite possibly, come up with some innovations and new recipes to meet the needs of the industry and please the palettes of foodies.
“Through quality expositions such as this MAFBEX 2010, we can expect many improvements to happen in the food and beverage industry,” said Joseph L. Ang, founding chairman of WSI.
